Swedish Meat Balls (Phyllis Brown)
Soak: 1 slice bread, crumbled; ¼ c. skim milk Saute: 1 t. margarine; 4 T. finely chopped onions Combine: 1 lb. ground beef; 1 egg, beaten; T. ice water; 1 t. salt; ¼ t. pepper; 1/8 t. nutmeg Add: Soaked bread & sautéed onions Refrigerate for 1 hr. Shape into balls. Fry in 2 t. butter for about 8 minutes. |
