Monkey Bread (Genie Dittmer)
2 pkg. yeast; 1 c. warm water; 1½ c. boiling water; 1 c. shortening; ¾ c. sugar; 1 ½ t salt; 2 eggs; 6 c. flour; 1 stick oleo. Mix yeast in warm water in small bowl. In larger bowl, mix boiling water, shortening, sugar and salt - add eggs. Add flour and yeast alternately. Stir well. Raise for 30 minutes. Melt oleo. On well-floured board, roll or pat a portion of the dough until ½" thick. Cut out in rounds (about 2-2½" diameter). Brush with oleo. Line rounds on their edge around bundt pan. (13-15 rounds/pan). Raise 40 minutes. Bake @ 350° for 40 minutes - 1 hour. (You can refrigerate dough overnight after 1st rising.)
