Provoteetsa (Kathi Hill)
3 envelopes dry yeast; 1 c. warm milk; 3 eggs, beaten; 1 c. sugar; ¾ t. salt 2/3 c. lukewarm water; 1 stick margarine; ¼ c. honey; 7½ c. flour. Dissolve yeast in warm water & milk. Sift & add a cup at a time. Beat in with spoon until stiff, then knead in flour. Let rise fully, then place on floured double sheet or cloth and roll out thin with rolling pin. Cover with filling and roll up. Bake @ 300° for 1 hour. Makes 4 loaves. Filling: 1 qt. plus 1 pt. nuts ground up. 1/2 lb. white raisins, boiled & drained. 1 c. evaporated milk; ¾ c. honey. 1½ sticks margarine, melted; 2 c sugar, grated rind of large orange.
