Dinner Rolls (Rachel Wolter)
1 c. milk
1 c. mashed potatoes
4 T. lard
¼ c. sugar
1 rounded t. salt
1 cake yeast - 2 T. warm water
2 eggs
Scald milk. Add lard, sugar, eggs, potatoes, yeast & 1 c. flour. Let rise in warm place 1 hour. Add 3½ c. flour. Let raise 2 hours. Roll out. Shape into rolls. Let raise 1 hour. Bake @ 450° for 8 minutes.
