Date Nut Balls (Kathi Hill)

Cook over low heat: 1 stick margarine; 8 oz. chopped dates.
When dissolved ,add: ¾ c. sugar; 2 eggs, slightly beaten.
Cook 10 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add: 1 t. vanilla, 2 c. Rice Crispies; ½ c. chopped pecans.
Cool until able to handle. Roll into small balls and roll in coconut.
(Note: rub hands in margarine or water before shaping balls.)
