Savory Crescent Chicken Squares (Kathi Hill)

Blend until smooth: 3 oz. pkg. cream cheese softened, 2 T. margarine or butter, melted.

Add: 2 c. cooked cubed chicken, ¼ t. salt, 1/8 t. pepper, 2 T. milk, 1 T. chopped chives, 8 oz. pkg. crescent rolls

Add ½ c. meat mixture onto each rolled-out crescent roll. Brush tops with 1 T. melted margarine. Roll in ¾ c. seasoned croutons, crushed. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes.
