Barbecue Sauce (Becky Essig)


¼ c. vinegar; 2 T. sugar; ½ t. pepper; ¼ t. red pepper; 1 onion, diced; ½ c. water; 1 T. mustard; 1½ t. salt; 1 T. lemon juice; 1 stick margarine.

Put together in saucepan. Simmer 20 minutes covered.

Add: ½ c. catsup; 2 T. Worcestershire sauce; 1½ t. liquid smoke
